Ford Focus was the most serviced vehicle in independent garages this year
The Ford Focus has topped the list of the most common vehicles taken into independent garages during 2015, according to figures released by Autodata.
The compact car started production in 1998 and there are currently over 1.46 million on UK roads.
Other models to feature in the top five include the Volkswagen Golf, BMW 3 Series, Renault Clio and Peugeot 206. The Peugeot 206 ceased production across Europe in 2010.
Within the top 20 is the Nissan Qashqai, the first Nissan since the Sunny to make the UK’s top 10 fastest selling car list in 2010, and the Volkswagen Touran, which was the first production vehicle in the VW Group to be released with Park Assist technology.
Autodata compiled the list based on the number of service schedules accessed by its UK subscribers, with over 67 per cent of independent workshops having used Autodata’s latest online platform in the past 12-months.
