Servicesure has begun its search for 2020’s ‘Autocentre of the Year’, after last year’s winner heralded the prize as “a superb achievement”.

MM Auto Services, based in Dundee, took home the 2019 trophy back in April, in addition to the ‘Winner for Scotland’ award.

Upon receiving the main prize, Managing Director Murdo MacIntosh took the time to praise both his staff for their dedication and his customers for their loyalty, as well as thanking Dingbro for the company’s continued support.

Commenting on the impact of the award, Murdo said: “As a quality-driven business, we are very proud to have been chosen as ‘Autocentre of the Year’: it was a superb achievement for us.

“From press coverage and social media, we know it has elevated our presence locally and we are maximising every opportunity to promote the business.

“As a very pro-active ‘Servicesure Autocentre’ we believe in the brand, winning this award continues to add credibility and value to every aspect of our customer offering as an independent garage.”

All of the garages shortlisted for the accolade were in attendance: Burntwood Auto Centre, Simon Graeme Auto Service Centre, Lowgate Garage, Chester Auto Services, Gordon’s Garage and A1 Motorist Centre, along with senior members of The Parts Alliance.

Garages are encouraged to consider all aspects of their business in their submissions to demonstrate ‘best practice in action’.

“The competition is Servicesure’s opportunity to really shout about all the excellent garages within our network and demonstrate why we’re one of the UK’s leading national network of quality independent garages,” said Paul Dineen, Head of Garage Programmes at The Parts Alliance.

‘Autocentre of the Year 2020’ will be sponsored by Auto Service Finance, Autotech Recruit, Bollington Insurance Brokers Ltd, Comma, Garage Services online, The Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI), Johnsons Workwear, Purple, Slicker Recycling, The Motor Ombudsman and Yuasa.
