The Parts Alliance garage programme, Servicesure Autocentre, now has even more award-winning garages in its network, following multiple wins for our garages in The Motor Ombudsman’s inaugural Garage Star Awards.

The initiative was launched this year by The Motor Ombudsman to recognise individuals, teams and garages that had gone the extra mile during the last 12 months when assisting customers with a vehicle purchase or work on their car.

Consumers were asked to submit a short account about the exceptional level of service they have experienced when purchasing a car or having their car repaired. Over 800 entries were whittled down to 24 finalists with a panel of judges determined the regional winners.

Out of these eight regional winners, three are part of the Servicesure network:

North: Simon Graeme Auto Service Centre in Harrogate, for helping to recover a customer’s car outside of business hours;

South: Randeep Reehal, Operations Director at Courtwood Car Services in Uxbridge, for her persistence when solving numerous mechanical issues with a consumer’s vehicle, and acting quickly to keep them on the road; and

West: Dukes AutoTech in Cornwall, for the exceptional level of compassion and care provided to a customer after they were left with a broken-down vehicle at the roadside.

Dukes AutoTech was also announced as the overall national winner.

Kerry Dukes, Partner at Dukes AutoTech, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have been chosen as the national and regional winners of the Garage Star Awards. It is testimony to the hard work and dedication of everyone in our team to ultimately ensure total satisfaction for each and every customer that uses our garage.”

Bill Fennell, Chief Ombudsman and Managing Director of The Motor Ombudsman, added: “We would like to congratulate Dukes AutoTech on their fantastic achievement of being named a double winner in our first ever Garage Star Awards. It was a closely fought contest, so we had a really tough job of choosing the winners, but this independent garage ultimately stood head and shoulders above the rest, and we are very proud that they are part of our accredited network. Our inaugural awards have been a great success, and we would like to thank everyone who has taken part. We are already looking forward to inviting entries for our 2021 competition.”

In addition, Car Friend in Cannock and Anderson Clark Motor Repairs Ltd in Inverness were also highly commended. Paul Dineen, Head of Garage Programmes at The Parts Alliance, said: “The commitment these garages have shown to their customers is outstanding, and is testimony to the reputation that they are building within their regions and the Servicesure network as a whole.”
