Anderson Clark Motor Repairs, a Dingbro Ltd customer and member of the Servicesure Autocentre network, has won Motor Trader Independent Garage of the Year for a second year running.

The award, which recognises best practice, innovation and professionalism in the non-franchised repair sector, was handed to the garage on 12 July at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane London before an audience of over 1,100 people.

“It really is fantastic to be the first garage to retain this tittle, we’ve always worked towards developing a reputation to be good at what we do,” said Graham Clark, Managing Director at Anderson Clark Motor Repairs. “We’re in business to do things right and customer service has been the focus for us from day one.”

Since opening in 1996, the independent has stayed true to its advertising slogan – ‘cutting costs, not corners’ – and today employs 13 full time staff, many of whom joined the business as school leavers and have been trained to become skilled technicians.

Continued investments in staff, equipment and technology means the Anderson Clark Motor Repairs can offer its customers a level of service similar to that of its franchised competitors. The 8-ramp workshop boasts the latest diagnostic equipment, handled by fully trained technicians to deliver quality servicing, repairs and MOTs.

Other value added services for customers include eight new courtesy vehicles and a nationwide guarantee, available through the workshop’s affiliation with Servicesure.

The national warranty guarantees parts that have been fitted to a vehicle for 12 months or 12,000 miles and, should a repair be required under warranty, customers can take their vehicle to any Servicesure Autocentre in the UK.

“We get customers that are on holiday up here and we can assure them that wherever they go, they are covered by this national guarantee,” explained Graham.

“It gives us confidence that our customers are protected wherever they go.”

Judges also commended Anderson Clark for its continued support for local charities, including funding a day’s running of the Highland Hospice and providing a car for Inverness Voluntary Transport to help take individuals for doctors’ and hospital appointments.

“Anderson Clark Motor Repairs is truly a quality independent garage,” said Duncan Davidson, Customer Programmes Consultant at Dingbro Ltd.

“It’s been in business for 21 years, has grown with a genuine focus on quality and is probably the most widely known garage in Inverness.”
